Fr Seraphim Rose

As far as I am concerned, for the time being, I will take my lead from St Porphyrios and continue to pray for Fr Seraphim with the IF:

“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on the soul of Fr Seraphim Rose and forgive him his trespasses, both voluntarily and involuntary, of thought, word and deed, whether committed in knowledge or in ignorance, forgive him all things as you are a good God and the lover of mankind.

Settle him in a place of light, a place of repose and of green pasture where all sickness, sorrow and sighing have fled away.

And IF he has found favor in Thy sight, may he also pray for me, a sinner!”

After all, it is whether we have found favor in God's sight that determines and is the only real confirmation of Sanctity. And that is something that God only knows and that He reveals to the faithful as it suits His purposes for us.

May we be found worthy to find favor in His sight and to join the ranks of the Sainctified!
