One of the things that drew me to Orthodoxy was the hope after death. I had a family member die who everyone insisted was going to heaven, but I knew him to be intensely materialistic and indifferent to spiritual things. Being able to pray for this man’s soul after death, which the Protestants tell me is pointless at best and heretical at worst, convinced me.

Life after death 🌾 is not self evident, and yet, "Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground..."

The Cross is indeed foolishness, such love is madness, 🦋⛲❤️‍🩹✨ but the Tomb is still M/T.

Onward through the fog.....🕯️📿 ⛪ ☦️ 🔔
